The OCWD was created by the California legislature in 1933 to protect and manage the groundwater basin which underlies Orange County. This basin provides about 2/3rds of our drinking water.
  • Water Conservation
We are in a multi-year drought which requires all of us to do our part to conserve water.  As board president, I led the effort to build the Groundwater Replenishment System, which is the largest recycling plant of its' kind in the world. It is currently producing 50 million gallons a day of pure water.
  • Taxpayer Watchdog
Denis is endorsed by the Orange County Taxpayers Association and is a strong fiscal conservative, Denis will oppose higher taxes - because we already pay enough!  He supports Prop. 90 to protect homeowners from eminent domain abuse.
  • Groundwater Contamination
As Board Predident, I led the fight to hold companies accountable that have contaminated our groundwater aquifer.
